Eli Manning, QB, New York Giants
FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS
While Eli Manning will never be considered a QB1 even in deeper fantasy leagues, one thing he has done in the fantasy circles is having planted himself as one of the most reliable QB2’s that you can own. He is pretty consistent, averaging close to 4,000 passing yards a year along with a solid 30 touchdowns.
Manning can go very quiet at times, wreaking havoc to any fantasy team that starts him during those brutal stretches, but then he can become one of the hottest quarterbacks in the game and carry your team. As long as you use him properly and don’t expect too much, the middle-round draft pick that you will need to spend in deeper leagues to get Manning on your team will definitely be well worth it. Draft him as your QB2 and nothing more in 2013.
