Scott Chandler, TE, Buffalo Bills
FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS
It took six seasons and his third with the Buffalo Bills, but tight end Scott Chandler finally had a season in the NFL that he can tell his grandkids about and be proud. Chiming in with 43 receptions for 571 yards and 6 touchdowns, Chandler caught the eye of many fantasy football enthusiasts.
There are a few sticky points with the former Iowa product though. The first being that 4 of his 6 touchdowns came in the first four weeks of the year. The second is that he is recovering from ACL surgery on his knee and there is an outside chance that he may not be ready when the 2013 season kicks off.
Watch him closely as the Bills receiving options aren’t the greatest, therefore when Chandler is suited up he definitely becomes a favorite target of Ryan Fitzpatrick. And by the way, that is the other thing. There is no guarantee that Fitzpatrick will have his job either. Watch closely on how everything plays out and tune into FFLockerRoom as the season nears. When healthy and being targeted frequently, Chandler is a solid TE2 option in deeper fantasy leagues.
