Ahmad Bradshaw, RB, Free Agent
FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS
I’m so torn when talking about Ahmad Bradshaw. On the one hand, I love to watch him run when healthy. And even more so when he’s not healthy. If you watch him on the field, he gives you everything he has, foot injury or not. He has the ability to play hurt and block it out of his mind. That or he’s able to get the right amount of meds to help block it out. And on the other hand, he almost always seems to be banged up. His foot and ankle injuries are well documented, and are probably going to be with him for the rest of his career. As a fantasy owner, you have to be prepared for that.
Now that his time in New York is done, he’s looking for his next home. In the past couple of days, he’s been rumoured to have been in talks with two teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers. Both of those teams could use Ahmad, but at what cost is the question. If they could get him cheap, he would already be signed. And after Reggie Bush and Steven Jackson got snatched up in the early stages of free agency, Ahmad is the next best available running back. He should and will take his time to make the most of his value.
As a fantasy prospect, I would love for him to be on either team. He would immediately assert himself as the #1 on both teams, and would be a fantasy starter in most leagues if healthy. But once again, that will be the question.
