Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers

FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS
As of right now, Emmanuel Sanders is slated to start opposite Antonio Brown for the Steelers when the season opens up in 2013 but that may not be the case in a couple of weeks.
It all started when the Steelers extended an original pick tender to restricted free agent Sanders. Normally this is a move that will secure said player for the next year as most other clubs don’t normally like giving up draft picks. But if one were to like Sanders enough and offered him a contract the Steelers could not match, that new club would be forced to give up the original pick, third round, to Pittsburgh. And in the case of Sanders, the Patriots might just be that club.
On March 15, Emmanuel Sanders paid a visit to Foxboro to meet with the Patriots. While he didn’t end up signing that day or since, many still wonder if the Patriots will make an offer the Steelers can’t afford to match. The Steelers have one of the worst cap situations in the league and would be hard pressed to match any offer the Patriots send Emmanuel’s way. And the Pats are always looking to get better.
Sanders is entering his fourth year and was finally poised to make a huge impact in 2013 after starting WR Mike Wallace took his talents to Miami. He had a nice season in 2012 but didn’t make much of a fantasy impact. Now that Wallace was gone, the idea is that Sanders can assume that role. The Steelers have a knack at finding talent at that position and then sending them off into the sunset (Plax, Santonio, Wallace) and Sanders appears to be the next man up.
We suspect that Sanders will stay put, making him a decent gamble for your WR3 spot with some upside.
