Chris Givens, WR, St. Louis Rams
School: Wake Forest
FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS
Chris Givens didn’t get off to the quickest start to his career, but he make an impact as the season wore on. Held without a catch for the first two games of the season, he finished with 42 of them for 698 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Givens put his solid route-running and top-end speed on display during the 2012 season. After losing Brandon Gibson and Danny Amendola through free agency, Givens is the immediate beneficiary as far as targets go. Hopefully, for the Rams, he will be ready to handle the pressure of being the top receiver on a team. The thing is, he shouldn’t have to be, but I’ll leave the Rams’ management alone.. for now.
The biggest question when it comes to Givens is where you should draft him. Ultimately, the opportunity is very nice. We know he is going to get his shot at being a top receiver and you likely won’t have to overpay for him. I am hesitant to say it, but he should be available in mid-late rounds and should be well worth the flier.
