MLB News: While it has been a horrible week in Boston after the bombings at the Boston Marathon, good news is on the horizon. While it doesn’t make up for what happened, slugger David Ortiz is about to be activated by the Boston Red Sox. To make room for him, they optioned center fielder Jackie Bradley to Triple-A Pawtucket.
Fantasy Ramifications: Bradley hit just .097 in 12 games this season after earning a position on the team in spring training. His fantasy value lies solely in dynasty leagues. For annual redraft leagues, Bradley can be set free. As far as Ortiz is concerned, he is still good for 25-30 bombs and 85+ runs batted in when healthy. At the very least he offers someone a good bat until his aging body breaks down again.
