Danario Alexander Re-Signs With Chargers on One-Year Deal

NFL News: The San Diego Chargers have re-signed wide receiver Danario Alexander to a one-year deal worth just over 1.3 million dollars. After testing restricted free agency, Danario and the Chargers are reuniting on this one-year deal. Both parties want things to work out as Philip Rivers would like nothing more than to have a solid #1 after Vincent Jackson sailed to Tampa in 2012.

Fantasy Ramifications: Danario was the Bolts’ best option at wide receiver in 2012. He and Philip Rivers had an instant connection and he quickly helped teams that took a chance on him in fantasy by scoring 7 TD’s in 10 games. In those ten contests with the Chargers he had only one terrible game.

While I love what Alexander can do on the field, his injury history still gives me the jitters. I’m probably not likely to draft him because of that, but if he slips far down the draft, he is great value as your #3.

If all works out this season, Danario will most certainly get a big-money contract in 2014. Still just 24, if he can get past his history of injuries, Danario could be a huge threat every game. He’s got crazy height at 6-5 and will always be a threat to score.
