1.17 Pittsburgh Steelers Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia (6-2, 245)
Jarvis Jones was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 17th overall pick of the 2013 NFL Draft. Jones has a tall order to fill as he was brought in to replace former Defensive Player of the Year James Harrison. He is a perfect fit for a Dick Lebeau led Steelers defense, he’s an attacking outside linebacker that loves to get after the quarterback and create havoc. He once seemed to be a lock as a top 10 pick but a poor 40 time at the combine and some medical red flags allowed him to drop to the Steelers. The Steelers could of went a couple different ways with this pick as they have some more pressing needs they could of filled across the board, but I can’t argue with them bringing in a potential difference maker on defense.
