Kansas City Chiefs Draft Tight End Travis Kelce In Third Round

3.01 Kansas City Chiefs Travis Kelce, TE, Cincinnati (6-5, 255)

While not blessed with blazing speed, the young former Cincinnati star tight end has plenty to be excited about if you are a Kansas City Chiefs fan. First and foremost he is built like an NFL tight end. The ability to be a receiver down the field by being able to stretch the field vertically is a great asset that he brings to the table. While not extremely athletic, he does have enough athletic ability coupled with amazing strength to be able to help block in the open field. He also has an understanding of how to use leverage to give him an advantage in one-on-one situations. He is a true football tight end. Off-the-field issues aside, Kelce joins a team that should utilize his strengths right away.
