The Minnesota Vikings have released long-time punter Chris Kluwe. Chris was due 1.4 million dollars this season but the Vikings thought it better to draft a new punter and move on. Kluwe finished 25th among punters last season according to Pro Football Focus but will likely land a team fairly soon.

A team that has lacked efficient punting for the past couple of seasons resides in the same division as the Vikings, the Lions. It wouldn’t shock me to see Kluwe compete for a job in Detroit.
