Kansas City Chiefs Waive Two Including DB De’Quan Menzie

The Kansas City Chiefs have waived DB De’Quan Menzie and OL Lucas Patterson.

Of the two, Menzie was a little surprising. He graded out as the best slot corner available in the 2012 Draft by NFL Films’ Greg Cosell. He dealt with injuries his first year and eventually found himself on injured reserve. The Chiefs tried him out at safety and later moved him back to corner but De’Quan never made it to the regular season. Only 23, this former Alabama DB will probably get another opportunity soon. I wouldn’t be shocked to find out, my team the Lions, claim him off waivers.
