In a move that corresponds to Eric O’Flaherty getting put onto the 15-Day DL, they have recalled RHP Cory Rasmus from Triple-A Gwinnett. Rasmus will be relied upon to help the battered Braves bullpen. He’s recorded a solid 0.93 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and a 21/9 K/BB ratio this season at the Triple-A level. If he starts off well, he could be a solid middle relief pitcher option for National only fantasy leagues.

In addition to recalling Cory, the Braves signed pitcher Joe Beimel to a minor league contract. He was recovering Tommy John surgery and will likely be headed to Gwinnett to take the place of Rasmus.
