The Oakland Raiders have signed veteran free agent safety Charles Woodson to a one-year deal worth approximately 1.8 million dollars. The contract reportedly could escalate up to 4 million dollars if he can hit certain bench-marks.
Woodson’s market was chilly up until about a week ago when things started to heat up. It came down to Oakland, the original team to draft him and the Super Bowl favorites, the Broncos. It seemed like an obvious choice to most onlookers, that he would choose a team that had an opportunity to play in the post season but it appears that money does in fact talk.
At least the Raider fans have something to cheer about and can break out their old Woodson jerseys once again!
