Houston Astros Recall RHP Brad Peacock From Oklahoma City

The Houston Astros have recalled right-handed starter Brad Peacock who had been pitching for their Triple-A Oklahoma City club. Peacock takes the roster spot that was vacated when the Astros decided to option Robbie Grossman Monday.

Peacock has struggled brutally after his demotion earlier this May, having pitched 21 1/3 innings while putting up an ugly 4.98 earned run average. The bright spot is that he did have 27 strikeouts, but if his command doesn’t improve, he will be in for a long summer in that sandbox that he plays in.

Expect Peacock to get his innings coming out of the Houston pen.
