The Denver Broncos have signed long-time San Diego Charger, CB Quentin Jammer. He had previously held out hope of re-signing with the Chargers but it never happened. At least he got to move-on with a team that has Super Bowl aspirations.
Quentin has spent his entire playing career in San Diego after getting drafted in 2002 out of Texas. At one time, Jammer was one of the leagues better corners, but now at 34 years old, he will likely make the shift to safety where his instincts and knowledge of the game can be better utilized.
While the Broncos would have liked to get Charles Woodson, who signed with the Raiders, Jammer will offer them the same kind of depth at a much reduced cost. Denver still needs to be considered one of the top 3 teams to win this season.
