The Miami Marlins outrighted short stop Nick Green to their Triple-A New Orleans farm club after he cleared the waiver process having been designated for assignment a few days back.

Green provides organizational depth for the infield and could see another opportunity later on down the line.

Taking his spot on the active roster is right-handed starter Jacob Turner who was acquired in a deal for Anibal Sanchez last season with the Detroit Tigers. He gets the nod against the New York Mets Friday.
