Detroit Lions Place DE Jason Jones On Injured Reserve

The Detroit Lions have placed defensive end Jason Jones, who primarily played on the left side, on injured reserve with a torn left patellar tendon, in turn ending his season.

Jones, who signed a three-year contract in the off-season, has been struggling in 2013.

In a corresponding move the Lions signed defensive tackle Andre Fluellen to take the place of Jones on the 53-man roster. Fluellen, who primarily plays on the inside, most likely won’t see much active as a pass rusher.
