Here we are going to take a closer look at the target breakdown for the tight ends in week 4. Sure if you get 10+ targets in a game it’s a great thing, but what you do with those targets matters the most to us fantasy owners. Below I have a list of the TE’s who got 6+ targets this week . I gathered each players number of receptions and then divided it by the number of targets he received to get a the players catch rate percentage. Then to get a closer look I took the players receiving yards and divided that number by his number of targets to find out who makes the most out of the amount of targets they get.
This week we have 17 tight ends with 6+ targets on the list. It was a throwback weekend as Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates both had strong games. Gonzalez keeps impressing us as he led the way with 14 targets, catching 12 of them for 149 yards and Gates caught all 10 of his targets for 136 yards giving him 13.6 YpT on the week.
Although Jimmy Graham ended up as a top 3 scoring tight ends in most formats this weekend, his 5 targets weren’t enough to get him on the list. But boy did he make those 5 targets count catching 4 of them for 100 yards and 2 TD’s. Graham is shredding opposing defenses and is currently on pace to get 1o8 catches for 1832 yards and 24 TD’s with 178 targets.
Below you will find week 4′s list. Hope you enjoy!
