Minnesota Vikings superstar running back Adrian Peterson had a horrible week from hell as he lost one of his sons who was only two-years-old by the hands of Joseph Robert Patterson, 27, who has been charged with both, aggravated assault and aggravated battery. Patterson is the former boyfriend of the boys mother.

Peterson, who returned to the Vikings practice facility on Friday has said that he will absolutely play on Sunday and that he asks for his private matters to be respected. FFLockerRoom’s heart goes out to his son, everyone affected by this tragic occurrence as well as all kids who are abused.  Remember people, adults are supposed to protect children, not hurt them or turn a blind-eye. NFC North Game Notes for Week 6

Chicago Bears - The Bears already played on Thursday night, defeating the New York Giants 27-21. Quarterback Jay Cutler helped lead the way going 24-36 in pass attempts while hooking up with wide receiver Brandon Marshall for two touchdown passes. The win has given Chicago at least a temporary sole-possession hold at the top in the NFC North.

NFL Line – Game already played.

Detroit Lions - If the Lions get a win this week in Cleveland against the AFC North division leading 3-2 Cleveland Browns (no that is not a typo), they will remain pace with the NFC North leading Bears for supremacy in the division. To do so they will have to do it without the help of wide receiver Nate Burleson as well as the possibility of playing without superstar Calvin Johnson. To make matters even worse on the passing end of the offense, tight end Tony Scheffler has also been ruled OUT due to a concussion. For the Lions to have any chance at grabbing a “W” before leaving town, they will need to have their dominant defensive line to disrupt quarterback Brandon Weeden.

NFL Line – The Lions are -3 (-105) point favorites over the Browns. Money line is -150 to win 100.

Green Bay Packers - The 2-2 Packers head into Baltimore to face the AFC North division leading 3-2 Ravens Sunday afternoon. Injuries are a cause of concern as guard Greg Van Roten and running backs James Starks has already been ruled out on the offensive side of the ball with linebackers Brad Jones, Clay Matthews and cornerback Casey Hayward already ruled out on the defensive side. Having the best PF-PA ratio in the division, the Packers hope to catch a break and win one on the road in hopes of avoiding a sub-.500 record this late into the season.

NFL Line – The Packers are -3 (EVEN) point favorites over the Ravens. Money line is -135 to win 100.

Minnesota Vikings - Minnesota, who is 1-3 on the year, is hosting a 1-3 Carolina Panthers team who have struggled all season long to get anything going on the offensive side of the ball. The Vikings will be playing with a lot of emotion this week after the tragic family loss suffered by the Peterson family at the hands of  Joseph Robert Patterson. Peterson, who has said that he will play Sunday will help lead an offense that will be possibly without TE Rhett Ellison and PK Blair Walsh.

NFL Line – The Vikings are -2.5 (-115) point favorites over the Panthers. Money line is -135 to win 100.
