The Green Bay Packers are going to be without star receiver Randall Cobb for as many as six weeks according to head coach Mike McCarthy. The injury, suffered in Sunday’s 19-17 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, would be a huge loss for an already battered Packers receiving group who is also depleted at the linebacker position.
Making matters worse is that several people believe that the six weeks could be wishful thinking and have pinpointed a more likely return in Week 14 which would be just in time for leagues fantasy football playoffs.
There is a silver lining of sorts though as James Jones, who is suffering from a PCL sprain, has an outside chance of playing in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns.
The victory over the Ravens brings Green Bay to a 3-2 record, which is a game behind the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions for the lead in the NFC North division.
