Here we are going to take a closer look at the target breakdown for the wide receivers in week 8. Sure if you get 10+ targets in a game it’s a great thing, but what you do with those targets matters the most to us fantasy owners. Below I have a list of the WR’s who got 8+ targets last week. I gathered each players number of receptions and then divided it by the number of targets he received to get the players catch rate percentage. Then to get a closer look I took the players receiving yards and divided that number by his number of targets to find out who makes the most out of the amount of targets they get.
This week we had 23 wide receivers in the NFL with 8+ targets. Last week I said for Harry Douglas to continue his production he would need to get more targets. Well this week the Falcons wide receiver led the NFL with 18 targets catching 12 0f them for 121 yards. Going forward it looks like Douglas will continue to rack up the targets.
Marvin Jones was only on the field for 19 snaps Sunday, but he made the most of those snaps. Jones caught all 8 of his targets for 122 yards and a whopping 4 TD’s. Even though he sees limited snaps this marks three straight weeks that he’s been productive. If he’s still available in your leagues hes worth a pickup going forward
Below you will find week 8’s list. Hope you enjoy!
