Here we are going to take a closer look at the target breakdown for the wide receivers in week 9. Sure if you get 10+ targets in a game it’s a great thing, but what you do with those targets matters the most to us fantasy owners. Below I have a list of the WR’s who got 8+ targets last week. I gathered each players number of receptions and then divided it by the number of targets he received to get the players catch rate percentage. Then to get a closer look I took the players receiving yards and divided that number by his number of targets to find out who makes the most out of the amount of targets they get.
This week we had 31 wide receivers in the NFL with 8+ targets. Once again A.J. Green led all wide receivers in targets with 19 for the week. Green turned those 19 targets into 11 catches for 128 yards, although he was kept out of the end zone for a second consecutive week. For the year Green leads the NFL with 104 targets, averaging over 11 targets per game.
It took Andre Johnson till week 9 to find the end zone, but he paid his owners in a big way for being patient. With new starting QB Case Keenum under center, Johnson exploded for 190 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns before halftime. Johnson was already having himself a productive year but Keenum could put him back into the “elite” status.
Below you will find week 9′s list. Hope you enjoy!
