Here we are going to take a closer look at the target breakdown for running backs in week 10. With the NFL going to a more “air raid” approach dual threat running backs are becoming more popular across the NFL and a more viable option in fantasy football. Below I have a list of the RB’s who got 5+ targets this week . I gathered each players number of receptions and then divided it by the number of targets he received to get a the players catch rate percentage. Then to get a closer look I took the players receiving yards and divided that number by his number of targets to find out who makes the most out of the amount of targets they get.
This week we had 14 running backs with 5 or more targets this week in the NFL. Knowshon Moreno and Giovani Bernard led the way each getting 8 targets. Although Moreno had more yards receiving on the week Bernard was able to get one in for a TD. Going forward both look to be involved heavily in the passing game. Moreno only saw 14 targets through the Broncos first 5 games of the season and has had 30 in there previous 4.
Darren Sproles had himself another one of his big games, catching all 7 of his targets for 76 yards and 1 TD. While he was only able to muster 12 yards rushing on 5 carries his contributions in the receiving game made him a top 5 scoring running back this week in PPR leagues.
Below you will find week 10’s list. Hope you enjoy!
