Here we are going to take a closer look at the target breakdown for the tight ends in week 14. Sure, if you get 10+ targets in a game it’s a great thing, but what you do with those targets matters the most to us fantasy owners. Below I have a list of the TE’s who got 6+ targets this week . I gathered each players number of receptions and then divided it by the number of targets he received to get a the players catch rate percentage. Then to get a closer look I took the players receiving yards and divided that number by his number of targets to find out who makes the most out of the amount of targets they get.
This week we had 16 tight ends with 6+ targets in the NFL. Once again another Texan finds himself atop this weeks target list as Garrett Graham had a tight end high 14 targets, catching 8 of them for 73 yards and 1 TD. The Texans threw the ball 58 times this past weekend with Graham and teammate Andre Johnson combining for 35 of those targets.
Dennis Pitta made his long awaited return for the Baltimore Ravens, and did not seem to be limited at all. Pitta was targeted 11 times, catching 6 passes for 48 yards and 1 TD. If he’s available in your league and could use an upgrade at tight end or are a Rob Gronkowski owner I’d look at Pitta as a legitimate TE1 going forward.
Below you will find week 14’s list.
