Here we are going to take a closer look at the target breakdown for the wide receivers in week 14 of NFL action. Sure if you get 10+ targets in a game it’s a great thing, but what you do with those targets matters the most to us fantasy owners. Below I have a list of the wide receivers who got 8+ targets this past week. I gathered each players number of receptions and then divided it by the number of targets he received to get the players catch rate percentage. Then to get a closer look I took the players receiving yards and divided that number by his number of targets to find out who makes the most out of the amount of targets they get.
This week we had 30 wide receivers in the NFL with 8+ targets. Andre Johnson led the league and set a season high as he was targeted 21 times on Sunday. Johnson was able to haul in 13 of those targets for 154 yards. He also now leads the NFL with 149 targets on the year. This week he’s set to face the Colts who he torched in week 9 as he had 9 catches for 229 yards and 3 TD’s.
Josh Gordon continued his tear as he topped 150 yards receiving for the 3rd straight week. Gordon now has gone over 100 yards in 6 of his last 8 games and more impressively it doesn’t seems to matter who is throwing him the ball.
Below you will find week 14′s target breakdown.
