In need of some excellent Fantasy Baseball advice to help get you and your fantasy roster through the onslaught of injuries to star Major League Baseball player? Look no further than the FFLockerRoom Fantasy Sports show hosted by Brandon Berg and Jonathan Stulberg.
We know that you need the help and we are well aware that you don’t want to trust your future possible winnings on people who don’t know what they are doing. That is why FFLockerRoom Fantasy Sports brings to you the FFLockerRoom Show: Clayton Kershaw, Bryce Harper, Chris Colabello on Blog Talk Radio.
On the agenda tonight we will be talking more on the injury status of Clayton Kershaw of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Our very own Ziad Dahdul talked about him some yesterday.
Clayton Kershaw (strained teres major, on DL): Kershaw came out of his first rehab start without incident on Friday, as he threw 5 innings (56 pitches) of one run ball. Kershaw himself said he felt great and lobbied to return to the rotation after only that one start. However, the Dodgers medical and coaching staff had other ideas, stating that Kershaw will indeed throw one more rehab start before he returns to the big leagues. No official announcement of his next start has been made, but the expectation is that it will happen on Wednesday for double-A Chattanooga. If all goes well with increasing his pitch count and he doesn’t have any post-start soreness or discomfort, expect Kershaw to make his 2014 mainland debut on Monday May 5th or Tuesday May 6th against the Nationals.
Also on the show the boys will be talking about Bryce Harper‘s current thumb injury and the status of his probable surgery and how it will affect your fantasy baseball team if you have him on your roster. Last night Chris Ziza chimed in with this news on Harper.
It has been a crazy season for the abundance of injuries that have affected some of the best players in Major League Baseball. This weekend we saw players like the Baltimore Orioles Chris Davis hit the disabled list, but none were more prominent than the Washington Nationals Bryce Harper who will be out several months after suffering a torn ulnar collateral ligament to his left thumb.
Harper injured his thumb in the bottom of the third inning while sliding into third base to finalize a bases clearing triple against the San Diego Padres. Sliding head first Harper jammed his thumb in a play designed of bad luck. As his manager Matt Williams said, “It’s happens all the time. Guys slide in headfirst all the time. Just so happens that he got his thumb in an awkward position. You can’t question that. You can’t question the way the kid plays the game. He plays the game hard.”
Making matters worse for the Nationals is that they are sitting at roughly $140 million in team salary making it highly unlikely that the Nationals will opt to try and trade for a higher quality outfielder that a struggling team would like to unload.
Also on the agenda we will be talking about the Hot Hitters and Pitchers including the overachieving Minnesota Twins. Look for plenty of other great MLB News and advice to get you through your Fantasy Baseball blues.
