Every week I will compile a list of all the two-start pitchers during the next week. Not every player on this list should be used, let’s make that clear up front, but if you are desperate and need to pick someone up, maybe you can grab a pitcher from this list.

I will give you the players name and who his opponents are. Make sure to pay attention to his opponents and that is why they could be categorized accordingly. I will drop the pitcher into one of four categories. The Front Row will be reserved for the elite and shouldn’t even be paid attention to. They will be owned in all leagues and you need not concern yourself. The Second Level will be for the guys that are almost elite and should be owned in 100% of leagues. The Third Level is where we can start to find some guys that might be available in shallow leagues and could be good bets for the week based on match ups. And lastly, the Upper Deck is for guys that are starting twice but have some definite issues. Either it’s the match ups they face or their terrible play on the field recently.

Fantasy Baseball Two-Start Pitchers for Week 7: May 12th – May 18th, 2014

FRONT ROW:

Cliff Lee (Phillies) – vs LAA, vs CIN

David Price (Rays) – @SEA, @LAA

Felix Hernandez (Mariners) – vs TB, @MIN

Adam Wainright (Cardinals) – vs CHC, vs ATL – The last time Wainright faced the Cubs he gave up 6 in just 5.2 innings. I don’t think he or the Cubs have a repeat of that day. He should be fine.

SECOND LEVEL:

James Shields (Royals) – vs COL, vs BAL

Jordan Zimmerman (Nationals) – @ARI, vs NYM

C.J. Wilson (Angels) – @TOR, vs TB

Jesse Chavez (Athletics) – vs CWS, @CLE – Got roughed up his last time out, but really it was all in the first inning. He settled down after that and nearly went 6 full innings before being pulled. Chavez started the season on fire and has been dropped in a few leagues recently. If he’s available, you should pick him up.
