Snee, who is 32 and only played in three games in 2013, has gone through some rough off seasons of late. Most recent was a flare up, during OTAs, to his elbow which was repaired surgically last November. And previous to the elbow surgery were a couple of hip surgeries in back-to-back off seasons.
Chris had been contemplating retirement and this shouldn’t come as too big a shock. I’m just wondering what Tom Coughlin’s advice was? Being his coach is one thing, but being his Father In-Law as well, that’s a totally different scenario.
The Giants will likely turn to Brandon Mosley who has 59 career snaps under his helmet.
As far as fantasy football goes, Snee wasn’t the player he used to be and his absence this year probably won’t be as big of an impact on the field as some will say. He will be missed, but that line has a lot of issues to work through. Good luck to those that think Rashad Jennings is a bargain.
