Jets LB Jermaine Cunningham Suffers Torn ACL During Scrimmage

Former second round pick of the New England Patriots and current OLB for the New York Jets, Jermaine Cunningham, suffered a torn ACL during a recent scrimmage.

Cunningham, who only played in one game during 2013 for the Jets, was on the roster bubble before this injury occurred. There was a report in late May that suggested Jermaine was considered a standout player during OTA’s but often times those reports mean little once training camp starts.

He was being considered as a sub-package defender who could be at end or outside linebacker. The Jets will rely on Jason Babin, Quinton Coples and Calvin Pace to rush opposing quarterbacks.
