Denver Broncos PK Matt Prater Suspended Four Games , Almost For Season

Denver Broncos PK Matt Prater Suspended Four Games , Almost For Season: Denver Broncos Pro Bowl kicker Matt Prater has been suspended for the first four games of the 2014 NFL season according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.

FFLockerRoom Sports: It has been said that the Prater camp is actually very relieved as he could had been suspended for the entire season. The Broncos’ kicker has been in the NFL’s alcohol program since being charged with a DUI back in August of 2011.

“I’ve made some mistakes. I’m accepting full responsibility. I’ll learn from it and come back a better person. I want to apologize to my teammates, my coaches, the Broncos‘ organization and the fans.”

Let’s hope that he is able to recover from this incident and bounce back as the dominant place kicker that the Denver area has grown to love. While this definitely is a major blow to the Broncos in NFL terms, for fantasy football reasons just pick up another good kicker that is sitting on your waiver wire and stash Prater until he is reactivated. We are talking a kicker here, not Peyton Manning.
