Rams’ QB Sam Bradford Re-Tears ACL, Out For Season

Rams’ QB Sam Bradford Re-Tears ACL, Out For Season: The biggest fear of St. Louis Rams fans was realized today when the test results on Sam Bradford’s left knee came back. He has re-torn his ACL and will miss the entire 2014 NFL season.

FFLockerRoom Sports: This is somewhat shocking as reports this morning were coming in that he had dodged a bullet. None-the-less, this is a very violent sport and odds are (at least lets hope) that you weren’t relying on Bradford as anything more than your QB2 this season. The time is now, if you did draft Bradford, to go grab Shaun Hill. While not nearly as flashy as Bradford, he could prove to be more consistent. Hill is a darkhorse to play well this year and become a solid QB2 in deeper, 12-team leagues.

People, being a Detroit Lions fan I was able to watch Shaun Hill more than most. He is the real deal and the Rams, while taking a step back somewhat will take a step forward in many ways as well. Hill is now a bonafide low-end QB2 option in deeper leagues.

I agree that Hill is legit. It’s a strong bet he is a top 40 QB in the NFL and St. Louis was smart to bring him in. The other side of this is that some guys cannot stay healthy. Be it playing style, brittle bodies, poor nutrition or terrible luck Sam Bradford is snake bit and I am hard pressed to believe that he is every going to “pan out”. This is good new for volume runner stacy, feed ‘em early and feed ‘em, often!

I think it’s good news for the entire offense. Like Chris said, Hill is good. I was hoping the Lions would pay up to retain him. He will feed the guy that is open and do an excellent job at the fundamentals. Sad for Bradford but this is exactly why Shaun went to St. Louis.
