Week 15 DFS Blue Book
As 2016 mercifully nears an end, let’s try and squeeze every last penny out of DFS.
Philip Rivers | QB | GPP
Philip Rivers was about as bad as a QB could be last week. I expect him to bounce back this week with a big performance. The Melvin Gordon injury could mean even more emphasis on the passing game and Antonio Gates is within reach of the TE touchdown record.
Colin Kaepernick | QB | Cash
In a week with low expected totals, give me a QB in this game. Rather than pay up for Matt Ryan, who is without Julio Jones again this week, let’s save money with Kaepernick. This is kind of an aggressive cash move but Kaepernick has been good aside from the snow game in Chicago.
Latavius Murray | RB | Cash
Lat Murray is a great play this week. With Derek Carr still nursing an injured finger, I expect the Raiders to once again lean on Murray. I don’t think he’s the most talented RB but he is very serviceable behind that mammoth OL of the Raiders.
Lamar Miller | RB | Cash
Lamar Miller finally got going last week and I expect that to continue. Miller is priced below Deangelo Williams but will have a heavy workload. Miller is mispriced and he’s a great play this week.
Justin Forsett | RB | GPP
I think that Justin Forsett has passed Booker on the depth chart but is minimally priced. Forsett could be paired with David Johnson for some salary relief. Let’s not forget that Forsett’s only successful season as a pro was with Gary Kubiak.
Odell Beckham Jr. | WR | Cash
I love OBJ this week. Since Week 10, OBJ is behind only Antonio Brown and Jordy Nelson in PPR points and his targets (54) rank second behind Julian Edelman. OBJ has been battling Eli Manning’s mediocrity all year and overcoming, I think he can handle the Lions secondary.
Stefon Diggs | WR | GPP
Stefon Diggs has a really nice matchup against Darryl Morris this week. I expect Sam Bradford to exploit it early and often on Sunday. This is a must-win game for the Vikes and I think they will try and feed their best offensive weapon.
Sammy Watkins | WR | GPP
Browns suck at all facets of defense. Sammy Watkins worked his way all the way up to 94-percent of the offensive snaps last week. I imagine there are two outcomes to this game: the Bills clean up their performance and shit stomp the Browns, or the Bills quit and the Browns effectively fire Rex Ryan. If it’s the former, I think Watkins has a big day.
Tyreek Hill | WR | GPP
Hard to ignore Hill’s recent performances. He’s a big play waiting to happen. I like him in GPPs this week and stacking him with K.C. DST is an interesting play.
Mike Wallace | WR | Cash
I just love this play this week. Mike Wallace can absolutely blow by Nolan Carroll and Leodis McKelvin. Last week, I used Desean Jackson in cash against this same defense. He essentially hit value on one play and Wallace has that exact same ability.
Rishard Matthews | WR | Cash
Last week, Marcus Mariota only completed 6 passes in a win against the Broncos. It’s not quite Georgia Southern beating the Florida Gators without completing a pass but it’s something nonetheless. Matthews bounces back in a big way this week against the Chiefs. Peters is a good player but the rest of their CBs have their struggles.
Ladarius Green | TE | Cash
Ladarius Green was such an obvious fade last week but I got worried about missing out on a big game from a highly-owned low price guy and used him in some games. This week, I am back on him because the matchup is exponentially better but his ownership will be much lower.
Delanie Walker | TE | GPP
Walker has a terrible matchup but Derrick Johnson’s injury could shake up some of the things the Chiefs have done on defense to be so effective against TEs. Walker always has tremendous upside because of his involvement in the Titans passing attack. He’s definitely worth a look in GPPs.
Jermaine Gresham | TE | GPP
Not many minimum salary dudes have been targeted over 20 times in the past three games. Gresham has been and his role should be increased with the Michael Floyd release.
Texans | DST | Cash
Blake Bortles had a decent game against the Texans early in the year. Ask yourself, can Blake Bortles have two good games against the same team? I’m betting the Texans get a pick-six here.
Giants | DST | GPP
The Giants D is legit this year and they will be taking on a Matthew Stafford-led Lions team at home. Stafford’s finger is sure to be a problem with the cold temperature. I have the Giants D having a big game and feel they are mispriced. Bigly.
