Happy holidays to you and all your loved ones. It’s the season of giving, sharing, loving, and caring! Here at The Daily Fantasy Stadium, we are busy keeping you in the loop as we travel from coast-to-coast this holiday season. In order to spend time with our families and friends, this week’s content will be paired down just a little bit. We hope you have a great Week 16 and we’ll be back to finish out the season strong.
OwnThePlay has looser pricing than most other DFS sites, so there’s still plenty of value to be had. However, the super cheap options (as you’ll see below) tend to be highly owned, so paying a little extra to get lower-owned players makes tons of sense in large cash games and GPPs. Make sure to check this week’s DFS Blue Book for more of our favorite plays in Week 16.
Week 16 FanDuel DFS Lineups: Value Plays
Player name | Player salary | Confidence meter 1 – 5 on returning 3x+ value (5 is a cash game lock)
Zach Mettenberger | $5,100 | 1% | 2 – The Titans are out of the playoffs, but they are a young team that needs experience. This is their last home game, so they’ll likely go out with a bang (if possible). Mettenberger can throw the ball deep, so he has the potential to score 20+. His floor is under 10, though.
Bilal Powell | $3,500 | 7% | 5 – The Jets will need to put points on the board this week to keep their playoff hopes alive. Chris Ivory is a 2-down back, which leaves Powell to gather in all the dump off passes. This is a great spot for Powell at home against the Patriots, so feel free to use him in cash and GPPs.
Mike Gillislee |$3,500 | 1% | 3 – LeSean McCoy’s status is still up in the air, but he’ll likely miss Sunday’s game with an MCL injury. Fellow backup RB Karlos Williams has a persistent shoulder issue, so Gillislee should see 10+ carries this week. At his price, it’s tough to pass him up as a cheap GPP flyer.
DeVante Parker | $3,500 | 1% | 3 – If OwnThePlay won’t raise his price, we’ll just keep using him. Parker is the clear WR2 in Miami and should get extra looks as the Dolphins try to build for the future. He’s risky, but has a good matchup against the Colts. We’d still only recommend Parker for GPPs this week.
Keshawn Martin | $3,500 | 1% | 3 – The Patriots will be without Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman this week, so Martin will be asked to play the WR2 role while Brandon LaFell vacations on Revis’ Island. Rob Gronkowski can’t catch all of Tom Brady’s passes, so Martin should easily return 3x value on PPR sites.
Zach Miller | $2,500 | 32% | 5 – There’s no reason Miller should be minimum price on OwnThePlay. He’s the clear TE1 on Chicago and with Alshon Jeffery dealing with a hamstring, Miller should get extra looks this week. There’s a reason he’s in one-third of lineups, so it’s tough to fade him in cash this week.
Austin Seferian-Jenkins | $3,700 | 26% | 3 – ASJ is a little more expensive than weeks past, but he has a solid matchup against Chicago and should be targeted in the red zone. Jameis Winston continues to improve, and head coach Lovie Smith will want to keep momentum going with his young squad.
Randy Bullock | $3,500 | 26% | 4 – In the event that New England continues their strong secondary play, the Jets should have several FG opportunities. These division games often feature PKs in a strong role, so Bullock has a ton of upside this week. There’s no reason to pay up at PK, so he’s cash viable.
New York Jets DST | $2,600 | 1% | 3 – The Patriots are playing without Danny Amendola, LeGarrette Blount, Dion Lewis, and Julian Edelman. Outside of Rob Gronkowski, the Jets should be able to shut down the Patriots passing game. If RB James White doesn’t give them fits out of the backfield, this is a great DST play.
|DST||New York Jets||1%||$2,600|

Week 16 OwnThePlay DFS Lineups: Cash Games
We’re almost at the end of the season, so teams are easily identifiable. In order to maximize our cash lineup, we targeted players with extremely high ceilings, as well as high floors. Additionally, we know which opposing defenses can be exploited, so there’s no reason to take a chance against an unfavorable matchup. This slate has plenty of “plus matchups,” and these are the players we feel most confident in.
Clearly we’re eating mega chalk with some of these plays, but Cam Newton and Bilal Powell are super low owned for how great their matchups are. If the chalk hits, we just need the leading MVP candidate and a minimum-priced pass-catching RB to return value. We like our odds. There are several options if you want to change QB/RB, but the core of this lineup is rock solid.
Week 16 OwnThePlay DFS Lineups: GPPs
There are several big names, great values, and “chalk” plays missing from this lineup. That’s intentional. Our hope is by focusing on the talent and not the hype that we will gain an advantage on the field. Group think is dangerous in DFS, so we’re going to color outside the lines with our GPP lineups this week. If things get messy—as they tend to do in the NFL—we may be the biggest beneficiaries.
Last week’s game stacks worked great for GPPs. Week 16 features several high-profile games, including the Steelers at the Ravens. We chose to fade that divisional matchup (historically low-scoring), in favor of the Patriots at Jets divisional game. Our WRs are the undisputed No.1 targets on their teams and are under 5 percent owned. Denver needs to win a game at home to stay in the playoffs—we like the matchup vs. an inexperienced A.J. McCarron. Ameer Abdullah is a great value play with a high ceiling (especially in full PPR). If the value plays of Zach Miller and Graham Gano can return GPP value, we’ll be in the big money.
