Week 16 DraftKings DFS Lineups

Happy holidays to you and all your loved ones. It’s the season of giving, sharing, loving, and caring! Here at The Daily Fantasy Stadium, we are busy keeping you in the loop as we travel from coast-to-coast this holiday season. In order to spend time with our families and friends, this week’s content will be paired down just a little bit. We hope you have a great Week 16 and we’ll be back to finish out the season strong.

DraftKings has continued their tight pricing which makes our value selections even more important. We didn’t want to dumpster dive, so prices may be higher than usual for lower-tiered players, but we still have confidence in their ability to return 3-4x value. Make sure to check this week’s DFS Blue Book for more of our favorite plays in Week 16.

Week 16 DraftKings DFS Lineups: Value Plays

Player name | Player salary | Confidence meter 1 – 5 on returning 3x+ value (5 is a cash game lock)

Ryan Fitzpatrick | $5,200 | 5 – The Jets need to win this week at home against a Patriots team that’s depleted on the offensive side of the ball. Fitzpatrick should connect with Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker several times in this game. He’s cheap and has a ton of upside at home. Cash viable for sure.

Ameer Abdullah | $3,800 | 4 – It’s tough to swallow that a Lions RB is usable for cash this week, but in full PPR scoring, Abdullah should return full value. He’s playing at home against a terrible 49ers run defense. Abdullah has been involved in the passing game as well, so he’s a high-floor play with upside.

Ryan Mathews | $3,800 | 3 – The Eagles have a three-headed backfield, but they continue to give Mathews a large chunk of snaps. He’s been the most productive back throughout the season and could be the long-term answer in Philly. He faces a bad Washington run defense at home, so he’s usable.

Javontee Herndon | $3,000 | 5 – Herndon has 5 receptions in each of his last 2 games. He’s slowly building rapport with Philip Rivers, so his targets should continue to climb. The Chargers travel to Oakland in a game that no longer matters for the playoffs. Herndon’s cheap and should give a solid ROI.

Keshawn Martin | $3,000 | 3 – The Patriots will be without Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman this week, so Martin will be asked to play the WR2 role while Brandon LaFell vacations on Revis’ Island. Rob Gronkowski can’t catch all of Tom Brady’s passes, so Martin should easily return 3x value on PPR sites.

Rueben Randle | $3,500 | 4 – No surprise here. With Odell Beckham Jr. serving his one-game suspension, Randle will step into the WR1 role. Fellow WR Dwayne Harris has yet to practice this week, so Randle might be all there is for Eli Manning against the Vikings in a game the Giants need to win.

Eric Ebron | $2,900 | 4 – In his first game without Brandon Pettigrew, Ebron hauled in 4 of his 5 targets for 79 yards. The Lions were able to do whatever they wanted on offense, and should continue that momentum this week. Ebron will get a redzone target or two, so he’s a great “punt play” at TE.

Rashad Jennings | $3,500 | 2 – Something seems to be clicking for the Giants run game. Jennings has 38 carries for 188 yards in his last 2 games. If the Vikings are without LB Anthony Barr and DT Linval Joseph, Jennings is a usable cash game option on non-PPR sites. Otherwise, he’s a low-end RB2 with 100+ yard upside.

Oakland Raider | $2,000 | 4 – It’s tough to find a better value than Oakland at home against the Chargers who are coming off their most emotional win of the season. Khalil Mack continues to terrorize O-linemen while Charles Woodson has been a turnover machine. For their price, Oakland is easily cash viable.

Week 16 DraftKings DFS Lineup: Cash Games

We’re almost at the end of the season, so teams are easily identifiable. In order to maximize our cash lineup, we targeted players with extremely high ceilings, as well as high floors. Additionally, we know which opposing defenses can be exploited, so there’s no reason to take a chance against an unfavorable matchup. This slate has plenty of “plus matchups,” and these are the players we feel most confident in.

It’s been proven over and over that a RB/WR from the same team can be highly profitable, especially on one of the best offenses in the league. Rueben Randle is the biggest value of the week with OBJ suspended, and the rest of this lineup features top-tier talents and players facing inferior opponents. Ameer Abdullah has been heavily involved and should get extra opportunities at this time of year.

QB Cam Newton $7,500
RB David Johnson $5,800
RB DeAngelo Williams $6,500
WR Jeremy Maclin $6,000
WR Martavis Bryant $5,600
WR Rueben Randle $3,500
TE Rob Gronkowski $7,600
FLEX Ameer Abdullah $3,800
DST Denver Broncos $3,400

Week 16 DraftKings DFS Lineups: GPPs

There are several big names, great values, and “chalk” plays missing from this lineup. That’s intentional. Our hope is by focusing on the talent and not the hype that we will gain an advantage on the field. Group think is dangerous in DFS, so we’re going to color outside the lines with our GPP lineups this week. If things get messy—as they tend to do in the NFL—we may be the biggest beneficiaries.

Last week’s game stacks worked great for GPPs. Week 16 features several high-profile games, including the Steelers at the Ravens. We chose to fade that divisional matchup (historically low-scoring), in favor of the Patriots at Jets divisional game. Our WRs are the undisputed No.1 targets on their teams and face lower-level pass defenses. Denver needs to win a game at home to stay in the playoffs—we like the matchup vs. an inexperienced A.J. McCarron. Abdullah, as mentioned above, is a great value play with a high ceiling (especially in full PPR).

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick $5,200
RB James White $4,700
RB Bilal Powell $3,900
WR Mike Evans $7,300
WR Jeremy Maclin $6,000
WR Allen Robinson $7,500
TE Rob Gronkowski $7,600
FLEX Ameer Abdullah $3,800
DST Denver Broncos $3,400
